TJ began building the foundation for Winchester in 2006 when he realized the market in Augusta, GA desperately needed a fresh, thoughtful approach to residential development. With his vision and work ethic, TJ was able to grow his company through the worst economic time in this country since the Great Depression. From 2008 to 2011, the Augusta market responded to TJ’s efforts and Winchester was officially born. TJ’s vision is still alive today as is evidenced by Winchester’s continued growth and success in multiple markets throughout the southeast.

TJ grew up in Augusta, GA and moved to Atlanta as a teen where he finished high school. He started his college career playing golf at Mississippi State and then transferred to Georgia State University where he graduated with a finance degree in 2004. After graduation, TJ started in the construction industry with a large national home builder before moving back to Augusta in 2006.
TJ Washburn, originally from Augusta, Georgia, graduated from Eagles Landing High School in 1999. He played golf in college at Mississippi State University and then transferred to Georgia State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2004. He then began his career in the warranty department of a national building company, gaining extensive knowledge of new home construction.
Returning to Augusta in 2006, TJ recognized a promising opportunity for new development. With his extensive hands-on experience and understanding of new construction housing, he emphasizes maximizing floor space effectively. In an ever-evolving industry, he prioritizes crafting affordable yet distinctive floor plans and ensuring the longevity of homes with top-notch quality.

Growing up in a culture where family was only second to faith, Chris Polk learned love is the greatest of all things. Chris esteems family as his most precious gift. His greatest accomplishment is being a husband, a dad, and a “pops.” While faith is first in Chris’ life, the love of his wife, daughter, son, and two grandchildren are why he gets up every day. When he is not working, Chris stays busy doing whatever his wife tells him, teaching grandchildren how to be mischievous, fishing, and hunting.
Chris met TJ Washburn in 2012 and after spending time with TJ, Chris realized they were likeminded in their priorities concerning family, integrity, work ethic, and business direction. Shortly thereafter, Chris was presented with an opportunity to join a young Winchester family. Working with TJ has proven to be the single best decision in his professional career. Chris’ 33 years in the construction industry have been a diverse mix of responsibilities and construction types including business ownership, land acquisition, residential and commercial development, architectural design, architectural and artist rendering, architectural portfolio development, retail big box construction, commercial construction, and nearly every type of residential construction. The broad range of opportunities has shaped Chris into the construction professional and businessman he is today.
Chris is a native of South Carolina where he attended Clemson University. Chris continues to live in Aiken County, SC with his wife and family.
Chris is the General Manager and Chief Operations Officer for Winchester Home Builders where he manages the day to day operations for the company in all markets. Chris’ primary focus is helping each Winchester team member be individually successful by doing the right thing for the right reasons.
His 26 years in the construction industry have been a diverse mix of responsibilities and construction types including land acquisition, residential and commercial development, architectural design, portfolio development, retail big box construction, commercial construction, business ownership, and nearly every type of residential construction. Chris has been fortunate with career opportunities through the years that have shaped him into the construction professional, design architect, and businessman he is today.
Chris is native of South Carolina where he attended Clemson University and obtained a B.S. in Design Architecture. He continues to live in Aiken County, South Carolina with his wife and 2 children.
Having grown up in the Augusta area I am very fortunate in having firsthand knowledge, and life experiences of this exciting town and the surrounding communities. My previous marketing and sales experience along with community service has provided me with the tools, resources, and contacts that have become invaluable to my business and to my clients. This knowledge and experience combined with my passion for real estate and dedication to my clients has enabled me to build a career far exceeding my expectations.
I have made Columbia County my home for more than 25 years, with my husband Chip, and our three children, Chad, Chase, and Courtney. All three children attended Columbia County Schools where I volunteered countless hours and served on numerous boards and committees.
